Insights On Hypnosis

You may be wondering or thinking: If
hypnosis is so beneficial, then why hasn't it progressed as a more
commonly accepted therapy. The answer has to lie within the lack
of knowledge, misconceptions and stigmas that have been inaccurately
associated with hypnosis. We can credit the stage hypnosis
performances that you may have seen for helping to formulate some of
those misconceptions.
Stage Hypnosis and One on One hypnosis therapy
are worlds apart. In context, stage hypnosis is a show, with people
who are volunteers picked out from the crowd by a hypnotist with a
keen eye for what personalities are comfortable being on stage who
will listen to his suggestions for a successful show. One on One
hypnosis is
therapy to solve issues or improve performance only using the hypnotic
state as a means to resolution.
Insight & Understanding Hypnosis
Hypnosis defined: the bypass of the critical
analyzing factor of the mind and establishment of acceptable
suggestions of change to the inner (subconscious mind) to help address a problem,
habit issue or enhancement.
How and Why Hypnosis Works
Subconscious Mind
Our inner mind, the subconscious mind is the
data base of everything that has ever happened in our entire life.
The subconscious mind remembers everything that has ever happened to
us or that we have done for every minute of our life. This amount of
information is too enormous to think about as we function in our
present daily lives. What we had for lunch 13 years ago is useless
information to be thinking about in our present life situation, but it
is filed away in the subconscious mind.
Conscious Mind
The conscious mind
is the gate keeper to what past information is important to use as we
function productively and effectively in our present lives. The
conscious mind (our working everyday memory) is the analyzer,
rationalizer and short term memory part of our mind. The conscious
mind applies reasoning to all of our past experiences and decides how
we will react and function in our present life moments. The only
problem is........that our conscious mind is not perfect, and often
enough does not do a very good job, actually being the culprit to the
problems that we experience. The conscious mind is often the bad
guy, analyzing and reasoning incorrectly, causing us to experience the
emotional distress that we desire to resolve.

The good news is
that thru hypnosis, we can correct the misdeeds of the conscious mind
and solve many problems and improve performance. While in the
hypnotic state, the conscious mind (the culprit to the problem) is
bypassed allowing communication to the inner subconscious mind, the
originating point of the problem. Problem solving
suggestions are made to the subconscious mind to resolve the problem
and guess what......................................Success! ! ! !
